Teachers of English as a Second Language – Canada promotes excellence in the teaching and learning of English as a second language. The TESL Canada teacher training program recognition process was set up to ensure that teachers have access to a certain standard of teacher education in Canada. This is for the benefit of the entire field—ESL learners, teachers, employers and programs. In addition, TESL Canada program recognition supports the TESL Canada professional certification process, ensuring that the adjudicator for that process knows that applicants have taken teacher training programs that meet national professional standards. The aim is to ensure that the private education and training industry is recognized for the high level of service delivery, commitment to quality, and student satisfaction that the sector delivers to the consumers. BCCCA promotes consistency, accountability and excellence in the private post-secondary education and training industry. ILAC International College – Vancouver is associated with such organization.
National Association of Career Colleges is a national association representing 500 regulated career colleges from across the country and is the voice and enabler of opportunities for its members and benefits for their students. ILAC International College – Toronto is a member of the NACC.
Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
In Ontario, the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities is responsible for the administration of laws relating to education and skills training. The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities regulates private career colleges under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 and associated regulations. ILAC International College is registered as a private career college under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.
Career Colleges Ontario is the provincial association representing over 240 members across the province. The association’s purpose is to help governments, key decision makers and the public understand the critical role its members and their students play in supporting Ontario’s post-secondary education system. ILAC International College is a member of such association.
